An arthroscopy laboratory was established in 1998 with generous contributions from Linvatec and Instrument Makar. The laboratory has capability for the performance of both 'dry' surgery on models and sawbones, and cadaver surgery in a realistic fluid environment. The lab is currently used to teach arthroscopic techniques to orthopaedic surgery residents, as well as performing research to advance knowledge and explore new techniques in arthroscopy and sportsmedicine.
